Libby, Mrs. A. E. Died of Brights disease. Born in Maine, age 60 years. Survivors: Prof L. C. Libby of Mt. Pleasant, H.M. Libby of Kansas, W. W. Libby of Kansas, Harry L. Libby of Kansas, and Ro6 Libby of Carthage, sons; Mamie Frazer of Carthage, Mrs. Edith Bairkers of Kansas, Mrs Etta Belknap of Kansas, Mrs. R. H. Dear of Carthage, Miss Della Libby of Carthage, and Mrs. Ethel Davis of Kansas, daughter.

Smith, J. A. Lived in Joaquin. Died when team he awas driving collided with another, and he was Athrown from the long bridge at Joaquin: fell 30 feet, vetern of Confederacy

Twomey, William Barrack lived in Corpus Christi born 1885. Survivors: Wife, Will Twomey of Taylor Co. Tx. Evan Twomey of Los Angeles, Calif., sons: 1 daughter in Abilene, Tx. 1 daughter in Carter, Calif. 1 daughter in Corpus Christi. Born in Memphis, Tenn, moved to Shelbyville when four years old, then to Panola Co.: married Elizabeth Hensin, then moved to Coryell Co.; served as TX Ranger and served during Civil War; move back to Panola Co, brothers name was Hastom Twomey. Died after taking appendicitis and being too weak to undergo surgery.

Wall, Dr. J. E. Born August 25, 1857. Survivors Mary Hull Wall, wife and 4 children. Died from blood pisoning from a scratch near his spine, was born at Old Beckville and moved to Carthage with parents in the 1870's. Began professional career in Carthage in 1880.

Perkins, Dr. A. T. Burial: City of the Dead (note Odd Fellows Cem) Survivors: Wife, Dr. Tillman Perkings, son 6 daughters, one of whom was Mr. R.J. Burrow. The Cause of Death: had 82 gall stones and his gall bladder was removed at North Louisiana Sanitarium in Shreveport. A couple of days later he tore loose the stitches when he vomited. A second opeeration was performed to do repair. He did not recover. Was a methodist and had largest funeral procession ever in Carthage; Masonic Funeral

Johnson, W.M. Survivors: Daughters, Leona 14 and Lula 13. He and his entire family were waylaid and shot near Salter's Mill six miles from town; Officer Beaty was sent to arrest Leonard and Emmett Salter: as of July 22, doctor said 2 of Mr. Johnson, daughter could not possibly recover.

Mayfield, W. J. had killed his father, mother, and brother with an axe at New Boston, TX; was taken from jail a few minutes before midnight and hanged to a tree 1.2 mile south of town by a crowd of about 25 calm masked and armed men after they unarmed the jailer.

Smith, "Uncle" Sidney. Born Jul 20, 1833 buried in Macedonia Cemetery Survivors: Baker, Walter, George, and Ben, sons; Mrs. Ola Barnes, and Mrs. Oliver Smith, daughters. Was from macdonia was a pioneer citizen and Confederate veteran, four other sons preceded their father in death; Oliver, Bobbie, R. E. and Wilkins. Was a Mason. (Wife, Mary J. Baker Smith, died November 10, 1853.

1917 Holland, D. B. "Uncle Brook" died: Dec. 21 1916 of heart failure. Survivors Mrs. Hooland, wife, H.C. Holland & E. D. Holland, sons: Mrs. J.M. Furrh, Mrs. J.M. Mitchell, Mrs. F. W. McFadden, Miss Nellie Holland, daughter. Was pioneer citizen, came from Marengo Co. Alabama in caravan of prairie schooners pulled by oxen; married Jane Anderson in 1858, served as first police juryman of Panola Co. J.P. Centennial for 10 or 12 years, tax assessor collector for 2 years; served in Confederate army; was na honored Royal Arch Mason.
