Reed Family Reunion - 2003


Dear Cousins,

You are invited to the REED Reunion to be held June 13-14, 2003, at the Church of the Nazarene in Kilgore, Texas. On Friday 13th, we will have a “Get Acquainted Reception”, with refreshments at the Church from 5 - 7 p.m. On Saturday 14th, we will have a day-long reunion for everyone to meet kinfolk, share information, and take lots of pictures, starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. There will be live music, door prizes, and a silent auction. A photographer will be on hand to take photos.


Lunch will be served at 12 noon. Please bring a covered dish with enough food to feed your family. There is a Brookshire’s and a Super Wal-Mart nearby, if you would like to pick up something to bring. The kitchen is available for meal assembly and heating. After lunch, we will have a business meeting to elect officers and select a committee for the next reunion.


Several of us are planning to write our family history and send to the authors of the future book, “History of Bedford County, Tennessee, Volume 2". We are allowed about 500 words and one picture each. Each article should include as much history of your Bedford County, Tennessee, ancestor as possible. If you are interested in contributing, please bring your (double-spaced, typed) article to the reunion. We will have copies of the first “History of Bedford County, TN” book for all to view.


Please feel free to bring COPIES of pictures, wills, deeds, birth certificates, gravestone photos, etc. that you would like to share. If you have your printed pedigree for your line of descent, please bring it along, also.
