The First Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy was organized in Henderson May 7 1909, and was disbanded about 1912 or 1913 due to the death of its'president, Mrs. J.L. Cameron. (She was killed in a train accident on the way to a UDC meeting, it was Henderson Chapter #1206, with the following charter members:

Centennial Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy No. 2321 was organized May 16, 1962. There were twenty members listed, including five real Daughters of Confederate Soldiers. Miss Lucy B. Wood was the organizing member.
