1850 letter sent from Palestine, Anderson Co., TX, back to family in [then] Randolph Co., AL. The letter mentions several Anderson Co. residents, as well as a couple of Henderson Co. and Rusk Co. ones. They are mentioned to the ones back home in AL as if they were from AL (or TN) so I had done a bit of research on those mentioned. By 1870, John Deal was in Henderson Co. Another Rusk Co. resident mentioned was R.L. "Bob" Franklin who was listed in Rusk Co. in 1850. *Has tons of research notes on people mentioned in the letter at the end!
