Herrin Family

TN Cemetery Data

Copy furnished by Charles Blakley

When the Rev. Lemuel Herrin and his brother Abner Herrin came to Texas, they came from the Rushing’s Creek area near Camden, Benton County TN. There both had been members of the Rushing’s Creek Baptist Church. It was in this same church that Lemuel had been ordained to preach and where he preached his final sermon in TN. The cemetery adjacent to that church is the final resting place of a number of the Herrin family. The following data is posted to assist local Herrin family researchers.
