JAMES FLETCHER GASTON

James Fletcher Gaston was born July 22, 1842 and died August 17, 1895. He married Burnetta Moore. She was born August 4, 1850 and died March 7, 1885. A daughter, Ines L. Gaston, was born February 8, 1872. John R. was born October 29, 1873. William Oscar was born January 2, 1880 and died August 26, 1953. James Franklin was born January 25, 1875. Joseph E. was born October 7, 1884 and died November 19, 1905. James Fletcher Gaston’s grandmother was a full-blood Cherokee Indian.

John R. Gaston and his wife Mollie had six children: Ada, Vernon, Rayford, Elwyn, Crysler, and Della.

James Franklin and his wife, Sally, had three sons: Donald, Verlon (now deceased), and Olen.

Joseph E. and his wife Evie had two sons: Curtis and Forrest (now deceased).

William Oscar and his wife Etta had three daughters: Burnetta Vee, Ruby, Jeanette, and Daisy (Miki), also an adopted son, J. B. Gaston.

Etta Timmons married William Oscar Gaston on January 4, 1903. He passed away February 3, 1963. They had three daughters. Vee, born December 1, 1903, married Johnie Nicholas. He passed away October 20, 1960. She had one daughter. Jeanette was born December 31, 1907. She married John Wesley Moore. They are the parents of eleven children.

Daisy (Miki) was born November 26, 1910. She passed away January 9, 1977.
