John T. Anderson, Jr. arrived in Rusk County in 1870 from Claiborne County Mississippi, with this widowed mother, two brothers and two sisters. He was born January 23, 1847, in Claiborne County, Mississippi. He died at Mt. Enterprise, July 23, 1929, and is buried in Shiloh Cemetery. His parents were John Anderson, Sr. and Sarah Ann Rebecca Mickelberry. He married, first, Frances Virginia Faulkner, January 16, 1868 of Hinds County, Mississippi and second, Sarah Catherine Griffin, August 13, 1872 in Rusk County: and third, Mintie Manolia Dulin Miller, June 5, 1894, in Rusk County.

John’s first wife, Frances Virginia, born August 18, 1849, died in Claiborne County, Mississippi, February 1, 1869, and is buried in Cayuga Cemetery, Hinds County, Mississippi. Her parents were Frances and Leroy Faulkner. John T. Anderson and Frances Virginia were the parents of one son, Ernest Armine Anderson, born December 21, 1868, in Claiborne County, Mississippi, who died August 17, 1869, and is buried in Cayuga Cemetery.

The second wife, Sarah Catherine, born December 28, 1851, in Cherokee County, Alabama; died in 1889, at Mt. Enterprise, and is buried at Shiloh. Her parents were Sarah Arminta and Thomas Griffin. John T. and Sarah Catherine were the parents of the following nine children, all born in Mt. Enterprise, all married in Rusk County.

Sarah Virginia, born 1873; died 1903, Mt. Enterprise, buried at Shiloh; married George B. Hays, December 12, 1888.

Martha Annie, born December 21, 1874; died August 10, 1950, Mt. Enterprise, buried Shiloh married Dr. Jesse Walker Ash, April 8, 1894.

Benjamin, born 1875; died 1879; buried at Shiloh.

Armintie, born January 11, 1877; died January 29, 1907, Mt. Enterprise; buried at Shiloh; married William Thomas Green, November 14, 1894.

Della, born August 11, 1878; died November 21, 1939, Henderson, buried at Shiloh; married William Marion Parker, December 19, 1901.

Berta, born May 11, 1880; died September 28, 1956, Minden, buried Strong Cemetery; married Walter J. Pool, January 7, 1917.

John Thomas, born March 20, 1882; died December 27, 1946, Mt. Enterprise; buried Lakewood Cemetery, Henderson; married Dillie Milstead, December 30, 1906.

James Edward, born February 29, 1884, died July 27, 1962, Mt. Enterprise; buried King Cemetery; married Floy Booker, April 1, 1915.

Ella Belle, born March 1886, died June 1962, Minden; buried Zion Hill Cemetery; married Henry Alston Jarrell, July 15, 1908.

John’s third wife, Mintie Manolia, daughter of Daniel Dulin, born February 11, 1873, Texarkana, Arkansas; died January 14, 1947, Mt. Enterprise; buried at Shiloh. She first married Louis Miller of Rusk County, September 8, 1889. John T. and Mintie Manolia were the parents of the following eight children, all born at Mt. Enterprise:

Leroy, born April 29, 1895; died March 30, 1959, Houston; married Lois McKnight, May 14, 1921, Houston.

Onie May, born February 15, 1897, living in Longview, 1981, married Jim Sheffield, October 10, 1915, Rusk County.

William Lovis, born October 26, 1898; died July 3, 1902, (should be died 1962 gbm) Henderson; buried Lakewood Cemetery; married Effie Warbington, December 24, 1918, Rusk County.

Eathel Lorena, born December 18, 1900, living Mt. Enterprise, 1981; married Allen Dewey Webb, December 13, 1919, Rusk County.

Jessie, born July 7, 1902; died 1944, Henderson; buried Lakewood Cemetery; married Charles A. Ham, October 15, 1923, Rusk County.

Willie, born December 12, 1904; died July 3, 1976, Henderson; buried at Shiloh; married Artis Gilmore, January 18, 1925, Rusk County.

Mabel, born 1906; died 1909, buried Shiloh.

Bonnie born March 18, 1908; died January 12, 1936, Sexton City, Rusk County, buried Shiloh; married Arlen Denby.
