Johnstons Celebrate 50 years of Marriage

The children of Lloyd and Joan Johnston honored their parents with a golden wedding anniversary celebration with friends and family at their home in Carthage on Oct. 18.

Lloyd Leland Johnston married Eva Joan Gilmore in Houston on Oct 14, 1948. They have four children: Steve, Kathy, Connie and Susan.

They have seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Lloyd retired from Ford Aerospace in Houston in 1987. Joan retired from Maxwell House Coffee in Houston in 1988.

Also present were Randol and Ruby Gilmore, Bobby and Peggy Johnston, Mack and Rita Burkhalter, Will and Edna Giegler, Marsha Dodson, and Charles B. Reifschneider III.
