This church was located withing the fenced area of the present day Waldrop Cemetery. It predated the cemetery. After the first two burials on Samuel Gentry's land next to the church, Gentry mad a separate deed giving land for the cemetery.

Know all men by these presents that we, Samuel Gentry and wife M.A. Gentry, of said county and state, have this day given, granted, bargained, and conveyed, and do by these presents give, grant, bargain, and convey to W.R. Gentry, G.W. Wyatt and J.D. Shaw, trustees for the Missionary Baptist Church at New Corinth, the following described tract or lot of lan d in Panola County on across Iron's Bayou on the headright of J.C. Barksdale Commences at the NE corner, it being at the NW corner of the graveyard and Thence South at 120 varas, a stake in fence which a pine 17 inches brs. S 82 W 7 varas and a Red Oak 6 in.brs. S 67 W 1 vara, and Thence West 105 8-10 varas, a stake from which a Red Oak 1 foot brs. N 3 W 2 1/10 varas and a pine 2 feet brs. S 64 E 7 varas, and Thence North 120 vara= s, a stake from which a Red Oak 8 in brs. SW 5 .Varas, and Thence East to the beginning, containing 2-1/4 acres. To have and to hold with a ll of the right and appointments pertaining to the same for the use and benefit of said Baptist Church. And it is further established and agreed that the said lot and church house which is not in use or needed for the benefit of said Baptist Church Corinth shall be free for the use and benefit of other denominations to worship in.
In witness whereof we have hereunto offered and have of this Oct. 13, A.D. 1883.

This day personally appeared before me Thomas G. Allison, Notary Public, Samuel Gentry, of said county and state, whose signature is offered tothe foregoing deed for 2-1/4 acres of land to W.R. Gentry, G.W. Wyatt and J.D. Shaw, trustees of Missionary Baptist Church New Corinth, and acknowledging that he signed and attested the same for the uses and purposes therein specified. Also personally appeared before me M.A. Gentry, wife of said Samuel Gentry, who being examined by me separately and apart from her husband acknowledges and declares that she signed and executed the same of her own free will without fear or resentment, her signature being by mark, and that she had no wish to retract it.
