I am looking for information on Fred Milton SEGER. He was known as Milton. He died in Hidalgo County, TX in January 1985, I believe. He came from Michigan. Searching for descendants of Walter Scott Crom. Daughter Mary Elizabeth(Mamie)Crom, m. Oscar A Parks, moved to Mission, TX from Harrison Co, IA with sisters Gladys P, m. Ernest Thorpe, and sister Grace M, m. John Reardon. Walter moved down to Mission, TX from Magnolia, IA after his wife died to live with his daughters. He was apparently murdered in June of 1928. Date of Death is listed as June 25, 1928. His body was sent back to Magnolia and buried with his wife, Mary Martha Reeder Crom. Any information on family members is appreciated. I am researching the 13 descendants of Jacob Shadrach Champion. One of his sons, Claiborne Champion, has been traced to your county. It seems he migrated with a gentleman from Alabama that started a Methodist church. The church has a cemetery, but has been flooded several times over the years and is missing many markers. I understand this church has subsequently been sold to the Lutherans. Any information on Champions in your area would be appreciated. I will be in the Laredo area around the first of April for approximately 6 months. How far away will I be from your county. Seeking information on PRICE family history. Walter Price moved to Weslaco from Ada, Oklahoma in 1922. My father J.D. Price was three years old when he moved to Weslaco. He lived there till he was approx 18 years old when he joined the military. Walter had several children who still live in Texas. Flor Lee ( Corpus Christi), Elva ( central Texas formally of Harlingen, Houston, Coy( deceased in Korean War ), and Loyd. the family orginates from Tennessee. Any and all information is important. I am looking for information on Ole Peterson, b. ca 1855-60, who I believe is buried in Sharyland (between Mission and McAllen), Hidalgo Co. He was originally from Sweden and lived most of his life in Kossuth Co., IA, moving, I believe, to Hidalgo Co. to live near his youngest son Clifford Roscoe Peterson. Clifford and his wife Jessie Lynn (Herrington) Peterson are both buried in a cemetery between Mission and McAllen. Looking for information on Abraham "Abram" DILLARD. Born 7/15/1857 in Texas. Died 3/7/1914 in Hidalgo Co. Married Manuela VILLAREAL (b. 4/1871) in 1890. He came from the Lockhart, TX. area as a Texas Ranger, settling in the Mission area in 1889. Looking for information on his parents, sibling, etc. The town of Abram, Hidalgo Co., TX. is named after him. Abram and Manuela had nine children: George Abraham (b. 1892), John, Emilia (b.1897), Mary (b. 1899), William, Anita, Daniel, Abraham, and Henry. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.
