Probate Docket Books I & II
1846 – 1877
Panola County was formed in 1846, taken from Harrison and Shelby counties. The first county seat was established at Pulaski on the banks of the Sabine River. It was moved to the present location of Carthage two years later. There has been no known loss of records in the county. The first two probate record books are not indexed.
