Rachel Denise Moton Alvis 
Willow Grove Cemetery, Shelby Co., TX

Funeral for Rachel Denise Moton Alvis, 29, of Joaquin will be 
at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Watson and Sons Chapel, Center, with 
the Rev. Mike Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in Willow 
Grove Cemetery, Shelby County. 

Alvis died Oct. 31, 2004, in Shreveport, La. 

Born June 1, 1975, in Center, she was the daughter of Randall 
Moton and Julie Blount Moton. She was a homemaker. 

Survivors include her husband, James Alvis of Stanley, La.; 
daughter, Brianna Alvis of Stanley; parents, Randy and Julie 
Moton of Joaquin; sister, Wendi Chambliss of Joaquin; 
brothers, J.B. Moton and Colter Moton, both of Joaquin; and 
grandmothers, Dorothy Blount of Joaquin and Imogene Moton of 
Stanley.
