Ruth Robertson Alford 
Pleasant Hill Cemetery

GILMER - Services for Ruth Robertson Alford, 80, of Gilmer 
will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 12, at Croley Funeral Home 
Chapel of Gilmer with Brother Paul Chandler officiating. 
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. 

Mrs. Alford was born June 18, 1924. She was a retired sales 
clerk for Perry's Variety Store and a Baptist. 

Mrs. Alford is survived by one daughter, Retha Hurse; one 
stepson, Lee Alford; two stepdaughters, Betty Lindley and Jo 
Ann Hobrine; one grandchild, Reecia Hurse; one brother, Robert 
Brandson; and numerous nieces, nephews, stepgrand- children 
and stepgreat-grand- children. 

Mrs. Alford was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and 
Myrtise Brandon; two husbands, Foy Robertson and Hilton 
Alford; two brothers, Arville Brandon and James Brandon; and 
one sister, Dora Wells McKenzie. 

Pallbearers will be Perry Thompson, Billy Davis, Danny Wells, 
Bill Lindley, Buddy Wells and Jimmy Brandon. 

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. today, July 11, at 
the funeral home.
