Zellie Mae Adkison 
Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Shelby Co., TX

 Graveside services for Zellie Mae Adkison, 96, of Lufkin, 
will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, in Mount Pleasant 
Cemetery in Shelby County with the Rev. Harold Hancock 
officiating. 

 Adkison died May 1, 2004 in a local nursing home. 

 Born Jan. 22, 1908 in Shelby County, she was the daughter of 
Margaret Savannah (Murdock) and Allen Patterson McSwain. She 
was a member of Timberland Drive Church of Christ. She was 
married to Ocie Adkison, and he preceded her in death. 

 Survivors include her son, Doyal Adkison of Lufkin; daughter, 
Bobbie Jean Christian of Nacogdoches; six grandchildren and 10 
great-grandchildren. 

 Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday.
