Myrtle N. Aars 
Memory Park

Services for Myrtle N. Aars, 100, of Longview will be held at 
10 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2004, at Welch Funeral & Memorial 
Center Garden Court, 4619 Judson Road, with Loren Quick and 
LaRon Branson officiating. Burial will be in Memory Park 
Cemetery. Mrs. Aars died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at her 
residence. 

Mrs. Aars was born Dec. 30, 1903, to Terry and Minnie 
Mickelson Nelson in Bosque County, Texas. Her Christian faith 
was very strong, as was her faith in God. She dedicated her 
life to being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. 
Aars was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Aars, in 
1974, and one son, Douglas "Buster" Aars, who died in 1986. 

Mrs. Aars is survived by her daughter, Wanda Phillips of 
Longview; a granddaughter, Susan VanMeter and her husband, 
Jerry, of Longview; her grandson, David Phillips and his wife, 
Dana, of Texarkana; her great-grandchildren, Brandon of 
Denton, Kevin of Waco, Lauren and Stewart of Texarkana and 
Emily and Kathryn of Longview; and numerous nieces and 
nephews. 

The family requests that memorials be made to Hearts Way 
Hospice, 1306 Pine Tree Road, Longview, TX 75604. 

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. today, March 5, 2004, 
at the funeral and memorial center.
