Sim Buck Abel 
Broaddus Cemetery

Funeral for Sim Buck Abel, 30, of Broaddus will be at 2 p.m. 
Monday, March 1, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel in San 
Augustine with the Rev. Sam Ferguson officiating. Burial will 
be in Broaddus Cemetery. 

Abel died Feb. 27, 2004 in Etoile. 

Born Feb. 18, 1974 in Baytown, he was the son of Sim Abel Jr. 
and Mary Chapman. Abel was an equipment operator and 
construction worker. He was a member of Zavalla Church of 
Christ. 

Survivors include his wife, Carol Ann Abel of Broaddus; 
daughters, Shelby Lynne Abel, Rebecca Nicole Abel and Jessica 
Hannah Abel, all of Broaddus; parents, Sim and Mary Abel of 
Broaddus; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ron and Faye Rawson 
of Diboll; grandmother, Mildred Chapman of Broaddus; great 
grandmothers, Ethel Beard of Broaddus and Hilda Chapman of 
Jasper; and several aunts and uncles.
