Shirley Marie Hafely Allan

BEDFORD - Shirley Marie Hafely Allan, 75, passed away 
Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, after a long battle with Parkinson's 
disease. A private memorial service will be held. 

Shirley was born Nov. 23, 1928, in Youngstown, Ohio. In 1946, 
she graduated from Liberty High School, where she was a 
cheerleader, on the yearbook staff, a member of the National 
Honor Society and Glee Club and a vocalist in a swing band. 

A longtime resident of Longview, Shirl was a member of and a 
champion golfer at Pinecrest Country Club and Dallas Athletic 
Club. 

Shirl was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Tom 
Allan. 

Survivors include her son, Eric Allan and his wife, L.C., of 
Hurst; her daughter, Kim Vance and Paul Ralston of Canyon 
Lake; her grandchildren, Stuart Allan, Brooke Allan, Missy 
Reasor, Whitney Vance and Cameron Ralston; a sister, Betty, 
and her husband, Bill Miller, of California; and a brother, 
Jack Hafely and his wife, Jan, of Florida.
