Anderson, Jr. Sunset MP Funeral service for Mr. Aubrey James Anderson, Jr., 82, of Nacogdoches, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2003, in Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Wilson and the Rev. Durard Mullins officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Anderson died May 17, 2003, in Nacogdoches, Texas. Born December 12, 1920 in Gatesville, Texas, he was the son of Aubrey James Anderson Sr. and Annie May Elizabeth Hill Anderson. He was a member, as well as a deacon, at Westside Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Nacogdoches VFW Post 3893, and served in World War II in the European campaign. He landed on the beaches of Normandy, and retired from the Texas National Guard as Master Sergeant. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Bailey Anderson; parents; and sister, Virginia Roberts. Survivors include his wife, Mary Anderson of Nacogdoches, Texas; sons, James Lynn Anderson and wife, Betty, of Little Rock, Arkansas; Larry Anderson and wife, Aline, of Timpson, Texas; daughter, Dianne Ray and husband, Jimmy, of Nacogdoches, Texas; step-daughter, Jimmie Harvin and husband, Gerald, of Nacogdoches, Texas; sisters, Doris Love and husband, J.D., of Nacogdoches, Texas; Nelda Faye Scott of Garrison, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
