Mary Helen Adams 
Rather Cemetery

Funeral for Mary Helen Adams, 79, of Navasota, formerly of Center, 
will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel, with the 
Rev. Carl Smith officiating. Burial will be at Rather Cemetery. 

Adams died June 21, 2003, at Navasota Nursing Home and 
Rehabilitation Center. 

Born Sept. 12, 1923, in Sarepta, La., she was the daughter of 
William Johnson and Winnie Herrick. She was a member of First 
Baptist Church, the Golden Harvest Club and the Eastern Star. Adams 
was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence R. Adams Sr. 

Survivors include sons, Clarence R. "Bobby" Adams Jr. of Pasadena 
and Stanley G. Adams of Deerpark; daughter, Ginger Isenburg of 
Navasota; sisters, Dorothy Rogers and Juanita Laird, both of 
Pasadena; Freida Veazy of Ruston, La., and Martha Jo Larkins of 
Arkansas; brother, John Allen Johnson of Shreveport, La.; seven 
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today.
