Carolyn Lee Abel 
Jonesville Cemetery

Graveside services for Carolyn Lee Abel, 56, of Garrison will be 
held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Jonesville Cemetery with the Rev. Cary 
Modisett officiating. 

Mrs. Abel was born on February 12, 1947 in Angelina County to the 
late Cecil Georgia Lee (Foster) and William Wesley Ferguson Jr., and 
died Friday at her residence. A longtime resident of Angelina 
County, she had resided in Garrison for the past six years and was a 
homemaker. 

Survivors include her husband, Vonnie Abel of Garrison; children, 
Jimmy Burnett and wife, Beth, and Jennifer Renee' Burnett all of 
Zavalla; step children, Charles Glenn Abel and wife, Michelle of 
Nacogdoches, and Jenny Rebecca Martin and husband, Robert of 
Appleby; sisters, Wanda Faye Peters and Judy Deanna Chaney, both of 
Lufkin, Rachel Ross of Etoile, and Imagene Oliver of Hugh Springs; 
brother, Curtis Crawford of Huntington; grandchildren, Mallory, 
Shelby, Courtney, and Michael Burnett, David and Morgan Abel, and 
Loren Miguez, and an aunt, Pauline Crawford of Wells. 

Pallbearers for the service will be Curtis Ray Crawford Jr., Thomas 
Keith Crawford, William Hillary Crawford, Albert Langston Courtney, 
Charles Earl Ross, and Terry Stone. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Luther Wayne Courtney, John Travis 
Mettlen, and Jerry Oliver. 

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at the 
funeral home in Huntington.
