Obituaries 9-4-03 Longview News-Journal Dorothy Oney Amburn Gum Springs Cemetery Services for Dorothy Oney Amburn, 78, of Hallsville will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at the Welch Funeral & Memorial Center Chapel with Garden Court committal, 4619 Judson Road, with Dr. Robert Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Gum Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Amburn died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, at her residence. Mrs. Amburn was born Jan. 25, 1925, to Aaron William and Melvina Sawyer Keeling in Arkadelphia, Ark. She was a caregiver for the elderly and a member of the Baptist denomination. Mrs. Amburn is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Oney of Houston and Yolanda Oney of Hallsville; her daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Tony Riley of Hallsville; her grandchildren, Tracy Accord, Cheryn Clark, Anthony Riley, Shawn Riley, Jason Riley, Bridgett Graham, Derrell Watson, Ashlea Oney, Aaron Oney and Jacob Oney; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Francis Keeling of Houston. The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. today, Sept. 4, at the funeral and memorial center.
