My grandmother Carrie Elizabeth BURNS MATHIS had one brother. His name was John William BURNS. His second wife was Lucretia (Creasy) LOTT. They had six or seven children. Some of the children's names were Liddy, Ludy/Lutie, John, Richmond, Gilbert, Clifford and William. I am not positive of these names. John William BURNS died 16 April 1902 at age 35. I would like to know where he is buried. He is not buried in our Burns family cemetery (cemetery #1) at North Fort Polk. His widow remarried Adolphus Koonce and the family moved to Texas. I would like to contact or be contacted by any of the descendants of John William BURNS and Creasy LOTT BURNS. I have never been able to establish a kinship to any of the BURNS in the Leesville area and I would like to do so. My great grandfather was John Knox Polk BURNS
